Flooring Remodel

New Floors Change Everything About Your Home

Walk into any room in your house. What do you notice first? The walls? The furniture? Probably not. You look down. Flooring is the biggest surface in your home, and it sets the tone for everything else. Old, scratched, stained, or outdated floors make even the nicest furniture look tired. But new floors? They make everything look better. Brighter. Cleaner. More expensive. At Oreasons, we replace old flooring with something you will love walking on every single day. Hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, carpet, or eco friendly options. We handle the whole job from tearing out the old stuff to moving your furniture back in place.

We have been installing flooring in Houston homes for over 13 years. That means we know which materials handle our humidity and which ones buckle. We know which floors are quiet underfoot and which ones squeak. We know how to prep a subfloor so your new floor stays flat and does not fail after six months. Every floor we install gets the same care, whether it is a single room or your whole house.

Why Flooring Is Not a DIY Job

A lot of people think they can save money by installing floors themselves. And sure, some can. But most end up with gaps, uneven planks, bubbling edges, or floors that squeak every time you take a step. That is because flooring is all about preparation. The subfloor has to be clean, flat, and dry. The material has to acclimate to your home before it goes down. The expansion gaps have to be just right. We have done this thousands of times. We know the tricks. We know the mistakes to avoid. And Mr. Oliver, our owner, still shows up to check subfloors before any new material goes down.

You also get a dedicated project manager who handles everything. Measuring, ordering, scheduling, delivery, installation, cleanup. One person to call if you have a question or a concern. No chasing down different people. And when we finish, you get a solid warranty. If your floor buckles, separates, or wears too fast, we come back. No arguments.

Common Questions About Flooring Remodel

A single room like a bedroom or living room usually takes one to two days. A whole house can take three to seven days depending on the size and the material. Tile takes longer than vinyl because the mortar and grout need time to cure. Hardwood takes longer than carpet because each row has to be nailed or glued. We give you a clear timeline before we start based on exactly what you choose.

You do not have to move everything yourself. We move furniture room by room as we work. We put felt pads under legs, wrap fragile items, and slide everything carefully. At the end of each day, we move your furniture back so you can still live in your home. For whole house jobs, we can move everything to one side, do half the house, then switch sides. You never have to empty your entire home.

Luxury vinyl plank is hard to beat for families with kids and pets. It is completely waterproof, scratch resistant, and does not show dirt easily. It also feels warmer and softer than tile. Porcelain tile is even more durable but colder and harder underfoot. Hardwood is beautiful but scratches and needs refinishing over time. We can show you samples of each and help you decide based on your actual life.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. You can install luxury vinyl or laminate over existing tile or vinyl if the old floor is flat and in good shape. You can install carpet over almost anything. But hardwood and tile usually need the old floor removed first. We check your subfloor and old flooring during our free consultation and tell you the honest answer. We will not sell you an installation that is going to fail later.
