Painting

A Fresh Coat of Paint Is the Quickest Way to Fall Back in Love With Your Home

Paint is the cheapest way to change everything about how a room feels. Dark and gloomy becomes bright and open. Boring beige becomes bold and beautiful. Scuffed walls full of nail holes and crayon marks become smooth and fresh again. At Oreasons, we paint interiors, exteriors, cabinets, trim, ceilings, and front doors. We do not just slap paint over problems. We prep everything first. Fill holes, sand rough spots, caulk gaps, tape edges, lay down drop cloths. Then we roll and brush carefully so you get smooth, even coats with no drips, no streaks, and no paint on your floors or furniture.

We have been painting homes in Houston for over 13 years. That means we know which paints hold up to our humidity and which ones peel. We know how to paint exterior wood so it does not blister in the July sun. We know how to paint kitchen cabinets so they do not chip or stick. Every job gets the same attention, whether it is one accent wall or your entire house inside and out.

Why Good Painters Are Hard to Find and Harder to Keep

Anyone with a roller says they are a painter. But walk around your neighborhood and look closely. You will see paint on window glass. You will see ceiling paint on the walls. You will see drips on baseboards and uneven lines where the roller stopped too soon. That is what happens when you hire someone who rushes or does not care. We are different. Mr. Oliver, our owner, still visits painting job sites. He runs his hand over the finished walls. He checks the cut lines where the wall meets the ceiling. He looks for missed spots and thin coverage. If he finds something wrong, the crew fixes it before they pack up for the day.

You also get a dedicated project manager who handles everything. Color matching, material ordering, scheduling, crew coordination, final walkthrough. One person to call if you have a question or a concern. No chasing down different people. And when we finish, you get a solid warranty. If your paint peels, bubbles, or fades too fast, we come back. No arguments.

Common Questions About Painting

A standard bedroom or living room takes one to two days. That includes moving furniture, taping edges, patching holes, sanding, priming, and two coats of paint. A large room with high ceilings or lots of windows and trim can take three days. A whole house interior usually takes five to ten days depending on the size. We give you a clear timeline before we start so you know exactly what to expect.

You do not have to empty the room. We move furniture to the center, cover it with plastic, and work around it. At the end of each day, we put everything back. For wall to wall painting, we can do one half of the room, let it dry, then move furniture to the dry side and paint the other half. You never have to clear out an entire room unless you want to.

We use Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore for most jobs because they cover better, last longer, and come in more colors than cheap brands. We can also use specialty paints like Sherwin Williams Duration for exterior, Emerald for cabinets, or low VOC options for nurseries and bedrooms. If you have a different brand you prefer, just tell us. We will buy whatever you want.

It depends on what is on your walls now. If you are painting over dark colors with light colors, you need primer. If your walls have stains from water, smoke, or crayons, you need primer. If your walls are new drywall or fresh plaster, you need primer. If you are painting over similar colors on clean walls in good shape, you might not need primer. We check your walls during our free consultation and tell you honestly what your job requires.
